Many people are unaware that granite is an igneous rock composed primarily of quartz, feldspar, and a mixture of other minerals. It is these minerals that, when combined with molten rock, create the various colors and textures of the granites we commonly use in monument making. 

As you can imagine, the creation of granite occurs in places where the molten rock and minerals have mixed and cooled. That means each individual granite color comes from a very specific location in the US and/or around the world. 

The granite you have ordered is quarried in the US. We have communicated the color, size, cut, and polish of your stone to the quarry and are waiting for them to fulfill the order. Once filled, they will ship the granite to our shop in Springdale. 

Each granite color can take a varying degree of time to quarry and ship. The quarries we most commonly work with average around eleven weeks to send the raw stone to us.
